When the UK Ambassador told the CM, Wigneswaran that, you being the CM is creating problems to the Government, the CM had replied that, Sinhalese people need no get angry, when we ask for the rights robbed from us.
A meeting between the UK Ambassador, James Dauris and Chief Minister Wigneswaran was held at the CM’s residence, yesterday. Speaking to the media after the meeting the CM commented that, the Ambassador had met him several times, but, the meeting this time was little different. He said that, we should not say anything against the Government; we should go along the Government; You are disturbing the pool; and that will cause problems.
I replied him that, we expected get a solution is 2016, 2017 and now the Leader of TNA is saying that it will be possible by the end of 2018. But nothing had happened. Government is saying something and doing something. Because of this we have the obligation of revealing the truth that happened here. That is why I had to reveal some matters.
We don’t under when the Sinhalese people should get angry when we present our problems. Our rights had been robbed from us. If we ask to give back our rights, there is no need for them to get angry, I said. He accepted this opinion to a certain extent, said the CM.
