Six year old boy sexually assaulted and murdered in Sampur: suspicion fall on the Navy

A six year old boy of Sampur, Trincomalee who was being searched for, after he went missing on Monday, Monday was recovered dead in a state of being sexually assaulted and murdered in an abandoned well near SLNS ‘Vithura’ Navy Camp in Sampur yesterday afternoon.

The relatives and the village people who went in search of this boy, Tharsan Kugathasan, had reported of seeing evidences in an abandoned house near the Navy camp, of the child had been  sexually assaulted before being murdered.

This child had been bound with a stone by shoe laces used by the military and dumped into the well.

The third and youngest child in the family, which had recently resettled into Sampur was studying in grade1 when his tender life was snuffed out by merciless ogres.

Whenever the boy passed through the check post here, the Navy men used to give chocolates and other food items , said the area people.
