South cinema is as important to me as Bollywood: Sayyeshaa

All of 17, but Sayyeshaa looks ready for the rigours of showbiz. “I have always wanted to be an actor — ever since I can remember, that has been my only wish. I feel extremely fortunate,” beams the actress who is set to debut in Tollywood along with Akhil.

Having completed two schedules of her film, Sayyeshaa has begun to get a hang of Telugu. “I manage quite well. Naku artham ayindi,” she says smiling.
Director VV Vinayak seems to have done his bit to help her language skills. “Vinayak sir instructs me in Telugu and I am able to follow it too,” says the actress who is quite proud about being launched by VV Vinayak. “His body of work is phenomenal, and I’ve grown to immensely respect him.

Wherever I go, Vinayak sir will always be my first director and mentor,” elaborates Sayyeshaa, who is set to foray into Bollywood with Ajay Devgn. “Even though he is a huge star Ajay Devgn has no airs whatsoever. I love the way he is extremely patient. He is also directing the movie, so it’s been an incredible experience,” she says.
