Sri Lanka gives UK High commissioner post to Sangakkara (Photos)

President Maithripala Sirisena offered the position of High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom a short while ago. President made the offer speaking at the farewell ceremony held at the end of the second test match for the cricketer.

A special felicitation event was  held at the P. Sara Oval for veteran batsman Kumar Sangakkara who bid farewell to Test Cricket today. .

Prime minister Ranil Wikermesinghe also attended along with the President Maithiripala Srisena. Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa was also among those who were present at the P.Sara Oval to wish Sangakkara.
