Sri Lanka wins consolation round match aided by the Record of Jaffna’s Tharjini Sivalingam

Sri Lankan Team playing in the World Netball Championship, put a full stop to its continuous defeat in this championship, beating Singapore by 80:50 goals.

The highest shooter in Asia, Tharjini Sivalingam was instrumental in this victory, establishing a personal record of 76 points in 78 tries. Earlier Sri Lanka had lost three matches in its group with current Champion Australia, Northern Ireland, Zimbabwe and Singapore.
