Stop establishing quarantine centres for security forces in Tamil areas, TNPF insists with Government

The Govrnment is in the process of establishing quarantine centres for Security Forces men at high population areas in the North, including Jaffna Educational College, Nelliyady MV and Driberg College, Chavakachcheri.

The Sri Lankan Security Forces are already accused of genocide of Tamil people of the North. The Tamil people have continuously insisted that the security forces being  excluded from Tamil areas on the basis that it is conducive to the good Tamil people.

In this context caring for security forces in Tamil areas will again  push them to the brink of disaster and make them lose lives in clusters.

The Government should stop establishing transit points for the security forces.

While expressing strong condemnation of this act of the Government, we also wish to say that we will not hesitate to join hands with the Tamil  people in taking action against this act, said the General Secretary of the Tamil National People’s Front, S.Kajendran.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Vattapalai MV in Mulaitheevu District also had been acquired by the security forces amidst heavy opposition from the people of the area.
