Struggle against dumping large amounts of medical wastes in Chemmany

Large amounts of medical wastes have been dumped in Chemmany. The Members of the Nallur Pradeshiya Sabah held an A9 blocking struggle yesterday. The traffic on A9 was blocked for sometime due to this struggle

Pits have been excavated and large amounts of medical wastes had been dumped  at Chemmany. Being informed of this, the members of the Nallur Pradeshiya Sabha had gone to the spot and examined the situation. These members engaged in a road blocking struggle in condemnation of this act.

The road blocking struggle continued for around 20 minutes. The police sped to the spot and engaged in negotiation with the strugglers. Following an assurance that the matter will be taken to courts, the strugglers dispersed from the spot abandoning their struggle.
