The struggle will go on until solution is reached in the problem of the Fishermen, says Ravikaran

MPc, T.Ravikaran said that, the struggle undertaken by the Mulaitheevu Fishermen will continue till solution is reached on 12th.

Illegal fishing was undertaken even on the 4th of this month. People of Mulaitheevu continued their struggle for the 3rd day yesterday. MPc,  Raviharan is working in conjunction with the struggling Fishermen and people, expressed the above opinion.

Representatives of the fishermen had complained to the police that illegal fishing are being done in Mulaitheevu seas. A boat which was engaged in illegal fishing was intercepted and brought to the shore by Mulaitheevu fishermen. The boat the crew are from Vigithapuram in Trincomalee, it is reported.

When the Mulaitheevu people informed the police had as who gave the authority to bring the boat to shore.

While the people living in a 74Km long area from Kokkulai to Peparapiddy are struggling for their livelihood, the authorities are not taking any action to stop the illegal fishing and they are not accepting any capture by the fishermen as above. This is the pathetic state of the Mulaitheevu Fishermen, he said.
