If the support for TNA declines New Constitution will not be enacted, Sumanthiran threatens Tamil People

If a news will come on February 11th that the support for TNA had declined, the new Constitution could not be adopted. The news saying that the Tamil people had withdrawn the mandate they gave to TNA, should not come, said the spokesman of TNA and MP, M.A.Sumanthiran. He said this during the event for introducing the TNA Candidates in Point Pedro.

In the negotiation table where people with different stances get together, no faction could win 100%. Compromise is necessary.  Some are afraid to speak this publicly. We are compromising on other things in order to win our main matter. If there is any other way, let somebody come out with that.

I conducted a survey on people who wish to go abroad. 9 out of ten want to go abroad. If that trend continues, there will not be a ethnic problem in Sri Lanka, in 20 years. Our race will be not here. Only the   ‘Transnational Government’ will be there.

We are not going to accept what they give. The Interim Report is the evidence that we have not compromised the basics.

If the Tamil people are to continue their existence in this country, if it is to established that Tamil people have a home land in country, if it had to be written in the history that, the Tamil had consented to share the powers and live within a country, it ahd to be demonstrated that the mandate of the Tamil people is still with the TNA, he said.
