Suspect arrested under PTA released after 6 years in prison

Kunaratnam Kajendran (Kajan)  of  Siruppiddy west, Jaffna , who was arrested on suspicion on 2009.01.07, by Galkissa police under the PTA, was released by Judge of the Colombo High Court on 23^rd.

Earlier, in a case filed the accused in Vavuniya , he was released on the basis of the submission of his attorney, that the Confession submitted to court was extracted by force from the accused.

This acquittal was cited in the 3 cases filed against him in the High Court, and the refusing to accept the same confession extracted by force in these cases also and acquitted the suspect from all 3 cases.
