Swizz Organization to 5500 houses in the North

Swizz Development Organisationhad come forward to build 5,500 houses in the North.

Visiting Head of the Federal department of Foreign Affairs of the Swizz Confederation, Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter, visited North yesterday to hand over houses built with the aid of his country and later met the Chief Minister of NPC.

He handed over 35 houses in the Kopay area, to re-settled people. He was accompanied by the Swizz Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives, Hins Walker , Swizz Secretary of States and Head of the Asia- Pacific region Secretariat of the Swizz External Affairs Ministry, Johanes Meddiyasi and several other VIPs. A pre-school and a community Centre are being built in this area.

The Swizz External Affairs Ministry had said that, the Swizz Development Organization had pledged to give preference to building 5,500 houses and rural structure in the North and that, from 2009 to date,35 pre-schools, 5 schools , 77 public wells were constructed and 10 irrigation tanks renovated.

On his visit he also updated the information on the current situation after the regime change, through the CM. The Cm requested the Swizz should help to enhance the skill levels of NPC Officers and other staff.
