Tamil Language should be given precedence where Tamils live in majority, says State Minister Wijekala

While saying that, Tamil Language should be given precedence in areas where Tamil people live in majority, State Minister for Women’s Affairs, Hon. Wijekala Maheswaran also said that,  we should learn to dare to  demand and get our rights.

The State Minister was speaking in an event for opening The Sub-Preventive Office of the Sri Lanka Custom in Kankesanthurai Yesterday. Sinhala Language was given precedence in the name board of the office, The State Minister said as above in indication of this.

Elaborating further she said that in areas where Tamil people live in majority, Tamil should be given precedence over Sinhala. This is not racism. But in our areas Tamil should be given the first place, she said.

Government gets revenue through the Custom. However, there are lot of Ganja and hard drugs are smuggled through Northern seas. The custom should prevent this to save the Tamil youth. Further, this kind of Departments should give priority to Tamil people in employment.

There are so many problems of the Tamil people to be solved. But the Tamil MPs are not interested in them. They are only interested in glorifying each other, she said.
