Tamils’ expectations must be met: Thurairajasingham

Eastern Province Agriculture Minister K.Thurarajasingham has stated that following the Jan 8 political changes in the country Tamils have been benefited to an extent although our expectations have not been met. We must therefore ensure that the present status quo is not jeopardized because our foes are attempting it.

He was speaking at an event held to declare open an agricultural road in Batticaloa recently. He went on that since they secured power in the Eastern Provincial Council they manage to engage in development work in the district. They must improve on that, while TNA carefully and diplomatically towards a political solution.
