The Mullivaikkal monument was broken; Memorial stone also disappeared: barbarism after being brought under the control of the army!

The monument in the memorial yard in the eastern part of Mullivaikkal where the Mullivaikkal memorial is being held was smashed this morning.  Also, the massive memorial stone that was brought in to establish has disappeared overnight.

The memorial stone was brought to the Mullivaikkal area yesterday at 6 pm. In this case, the police force was interrogating investigators and preventing the memorial from being established.

Following this, the area came under the complete control of the military. All roads leading to the Mullivaikkal yard were cordoned off by the military.  The monument stone disappeared last night and the monument was also smashed.

The monument, which weighed more than 2,000 kilograms, was removed by heavy vehicles. Neighbours said the army was stationed throughout the area and military vehicles were moving around.

In the pictures below you can see the 6.5 feet high, and 2000 kg memorial stone being brought to the Mullivaikkal area by the Mullivaikkal memorial team at 6 pm yesterday and then the army arrives there and interrogates Rev. Leo Armstrong.
