Thirukoneswaram, Thiruketheeswaram and Naguleswaram should be declared Sacred Areas, says Mano

Minister of National Unity, Reconciliation and Official Languages, Mano Ganeshan has said that, Thirukoneswaram, Thiruketheeswaram and Naguleswaram should be declared Sacred Areas. The Minister of Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Affairs, D.M. Swamynathan should submit a cabinet paper for this and that he will provide necessary support in this matter.

In a letter he had written to Minister Swamynathan he had said that, Madhu church area has been declared a sacred area through a Cabinet paper by the President. That is a good action. Madhu is the first Catholic church area to be declared sacred Area. We have accepted this with happiness. Like wise, Thirukoneswaram, on which Thirugnanasampanthar had sung hymns and felicitated as the ‘Thenkailayam” in the East , along with Thiruketheeswaram in the West and ThiruNaguleswaram in the North should be declared sacred areas. I bring this officially to your attention, he had said.
