UPFA Parliamentarian Udaya Gamanpilla was the recipient of the first warning from the new Speaker following a point of order raised by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.
He was stating that those who took up arms against the government are in the House and they would use parliament for promotion of separatist agenda.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe raised a point of order and protested. He said: ‘Gamanpilla was given chance to speak. He should not abuse to make speeches to talk about raising arms by MPs.’
In the face of protest and remark by the Chair, Gamanpilla took his seat without continuing his speech.
