TNA is a partner of the Government, says Namal Rajapakse in Jaffna

The TNA is continuing to act as a partner – Party of the Government, said Namal Rajapakse MP.

He said so in a press conference held at the Jaffna Press club yesterday. Namal Rajapakse who was on a private visit to Jaffna yesterday held a Press Conference at Jaffna Press Club yesterday

Speaking there he said that, The TNA is continuing to act as a partner – Party of the Government and that party had done anything to neither the Northern nor Southern people.

The Southern factions reacted strongly to Wijekala’s speech  but, they were not disturbed when Wijekala said during election period that she will erect a statue to to Prabaharan or when LTTE songs were broadcasted  on the SLFP election campaign stages. Isn’t it had considered as an act of distracting people’s attention from the New York Times’ story?, the media men asked.

Answering them he commented as above. Speaking further he said, What was done for the Economic Development of  people  by the people who broadcast LTTE songs and instigating people by saying that they will erect Prabaharan’s statue. We have no need to divert attention from New York Times story.

People in the present Government disrupted Development work done by Rajapakse’s government. The present government is not willing to even curb the sword slashing and violent mobs. 6 persons had been shot dead in the South within the last two days. The Government which should have been engaged in finding the perpetrators of the murders is only trying search as to what accusations could be placed on the victims, he said.
