TNA- Ranil meeting; primier promised to fulfill the requests.

A meeting between members of TNA and the Prime Minister took place day before yesterday. During this meeting several matters including the release of political prisoners,Chunnakam drinking water problem, state appointments and the release of lands to people were discussed reported Selva Adaikalanathan, MP.

TNA pointed out that some of the political prisoners could have been released on the last Independent day. Accepting it , the primier had promised to take appropriate action regarding them.

He also accepted their request to appoint Civilian  and Tamil officers when appointing Governors and District Secretaries etc. The TNA also had put forward a request to appoint senior MPs as the respective chairmen of NOrthern Provincil and District Development Committees.

Prime Minister Ranil wickremasinghe, TNA leader Ra Sampanthan, Ministers Joseph Michel Perera,Rangith Mathuma bandara,  MPs,Sumanthiran,Suresh Premachandran,Selavam Adaikalanathan, Sivasakthy Anandan, Pon. Selvarajah and Ariyanendran participated in this meeting.
