TNA’s fails in bid to reconcile with Mullaitheevu youth who have decided to contest Independently

The Mullaitheevu Youth community, being dissatisfied with the political parties has decided to contest the forthcoming LG elections for Puthukudiyiruppu Pradeshiya Sabai independently and are in the process of meeting people with their proposal.

Confusion reigned in a meeting where the supporters of TNA tried to reconcile the youth and called upon the youth to avoid contesting independently.

A meeting relevant to undertaking development and contesting the LG Pools was held at the Jubilee hall of the Puthukudiyiruppu Central College, yesterday evening.

Large number of people belonging to Puthukudiyiruppu PS area participated in this meeting. The Organizers of this meeting did not allow the media to cover the meeting and in fact leveled threats at the media men.

However, this meeting was conducted in a manner to reconcile the youth from contesting independently.

Organizers of meeting expressed opinions completely opposite to those of the youth and confusions prevailed from the very outset of the meeting.

The youth said that they will have to determine the development work for Puthukudiyirruppu and they could longer lick the feet of politicians and serve their needs. They announce that they will not contest under the TNA symbol but on an independent symbol.

Walking out the meeting they said that, nobody can prevent them contesting the elections. They also said that they will not give in to any bargaining of any agents of political parties.

It was notable that, the area people, intellectuals and other political enthusiasts were welcoming the move of the youth.
