“Tobacco shops” ordered to close following fighting at 5-road Junction in Jaffna
All tobacco selling shops were ordered to put up shutters by the Jaffna Municipal Commissioner following some fighting at the 5-road junction in Jaffna, where a shop and a few vehicles were damaged in the fighting.
Area people said that these shops played major role in making youth of Jaffna addicted to drugs and claimed that shop operating under cover of Betel shops also do the same thing and wished that they also should be ordered to close.
