TPPs health deteriorated. One admitted to hospital
The body conditions of the TPPs who are on a fasting protest for more than two weeks at the Anuradhapuram prison have declined badly, with one TPP admitted to Prison hospital in an unconscious state.
They have gone into fasting 14th of last month, demanding that they be released at least after short term rehabilitation. They have also refused to take life saving medicine from day before, and this had weakened them very much.
When a team of media men visited the TPPs, led by Fr. Sakthyvel, coordinator of the Oganization for release of Political Prisoners, the TPPs had told them that their release should be organized with the Indian Government’s participation.
It is notable that several demonstrations have been held in support of TPPs all over North and in Colombo.
