Trincomalee District safe from Corona to date, declares Government Agent, Trincomalee District

The Government Agent of the Trincomalee District, J.S.D.M. Asanka Abeyawardena has declared that the Trincomalee District is safe from Corona to date.

Elaborating further he said, that the quarantine activities of the District is being undertaken under the supervision of the Regional Medical of Health.

Altogether 744 persons who came from abroad and 1452 local and persons came from other districts were subjected to self-quarantining activities. The self Quarantining activities of 676 persons from abroad and 656 local arrivals had been completed and the 10 Corona suspects identified among them had been medically tested and confirmed Negative for Corona.

So far the district is safe from Corona, he said  and requested that all should cooperate to maintain that position.
