Two Northern Teams in the pre-quarter-finals round of the FA Cup Tournament
The rounds of matches among the 16 teams in the pre-quarter finals rounds of the Sri Lanka Foot Ball Federation Cup has commenced.
Matches were conducted among 600 teams all over Sri Lanka by knock- out method and 16 teams have been selected to compete further in Knock out method.
The Navanthurai St.Mary’s Team and the Uruthirapuram Team from Kilinochchi from the North have secured places in the 16 Teams said above.
Thus two matches in which the above two teams will play will be held on the 7th of this month at the Jaffna Duraiappah Stadium.
In the Match to be held at 4.00 p.m SL transport Board will play against Uruthirapuram Team.
In an another match Navanthurai St. Mary’s will be pitted against Sri Lanka Prison Team.
It is notable that NP players, Kajakopan, Kanistan and Vincent are playing for the SLTB Team.
