Two people killed by lightning

Two people were struck dead by lighting at Kanthale-Agbopura- Ginipetty Palama and  Anuradhapura Gomarankadawala  yesterday  while working in a paddy field.

 Metrological department states that many areas in the island might receive thunder showers during today afternoon.

The on duty weather forecaster Nimal Bandara Ekanayaka forecasts that lightning accidents also could occur along with the thunder showers and warns the public to be vigilant.
