There is a need for revolution to occur in our Education Sector and in our life style. For that we have to work united, said the Leader of the ITAK and MP, Mawai Senathyrasa. The opening ceremony of the building for Kalaivany Community Center, Thellipallai presided by the President of the CC, P. Sriskantharasqa, yesterday. Participating in this event, as the Chief Guest Mawai Senathyrasa said as above.
Speaking further he said that, This Vali- North soil is full of spirituality. It has produced several learned people. Activities for resettlement and development of this are undertaken dedicate by the District Secretary and Divisional Secretaries. We are fighting from 2003 to redeem this land.
65% of the students of North and East have the chance of being selected to the Arts stream in the Universities. Unemployment is rampant because of this. Students should opt to study science subjects. Several factories may be put up here. But we are not prepared to be ready to receive them. Hence, Industrial education should be undertaken.
We are fighting for doctors and Nurses. But we have no student to study science. Hence these vacancies will continue to prevail here. Our students should learn in all fields. Then only we could reach a higher position in education, he said.
Several people including the Divisional Secretary, Grama Officers, Executive Committee Members of the society and the public participated in the event.
