We the Buddhist Clergy will redeem the Rights of Tamil people- Omalpe Sophitha Thero at Nallur

Former Leader of the Jathika Hela Urumaya, Dr. Omalpe Shobitha Thero promised in from Nallai Kanthan Temple  that they the majority race Buddhist Clergy will redeem the rights of the Tamil people.

The International Conference for building up Buddhist – Hindu Unity was held yesterday in Jaffna in a grand fashion.

Speaking to the media after participating in special worship he promised  as above.

Elaborating further he said that today is a special day for Tamil people. It is like receiving another life into their body. From time immemorial, Buddhist and Hindu religions had gone together. As in earlier times Buddhists and Hindus should travel together. Tamils and Sinhalese should unite.

We will create an environment where the Tamil people could live with raised heads, he said.
