Wells  have Disappeared in Pallai Veemankamam, which was released by the Army recently

Area people said that wells which existed in the Veemankamam area released recently by the Army, had disappeared.

27 families have identified their lands and have undertaken registration. Wells which were found earlier in some lands have disappeared the people reported.

Lavatories had been constructed in the said areas. The people have expressed suspicion that the top of wells may have been covered and the lavatories  constructed  so as the toilet wastes could go into the wells. They expressed much anxiety that several houses in the released area have been demolished completely.
