We will destroy crimes as we had destroyed the Tigers, say IGP in Jaffna

Like we destroyed the Liberation Tigers  of Tamil Eelam we will completely eradicate the crimes in the North, said the IGP Poojitha Jayasundara in Jaffna.

Minister of Law and Order, Deputy Minister with the IGM visited Jaffna yesterday to study the current crime situation prevailing in the North.

After discussing the current situation prevailing in the here, with the Police higher Officials here, he said as above in the Media Conference that followed.

Elaborating further he said that they have made this visit to study about the current situation in Jaffna Peninsula and control the situation. It is also our objective to find out the problems of police officers and the people. If the crimes rate is high  anf if it should be eliminated, people should cooperate with the Police.

If the police get the cooperation of Civil Defence Committees, crimes could be controlled speedily.

These crimes are not a big deal for us. We have fought with the LTTE and we have eliminated them and scored a victory. Hence everyone should cooperate with the police to eliminate crimes he said.
