Former State Minister for Children’s Affairs, and MP, Wijayakala Maheswaran has said that she will apologize or withdraw the statement she had made about the Liberation Tigers at Jaffna last month.
Wijayakala who spoke about Liberation Tigers lost her state Minister post and inquiries made for taking legal action against her.
In an interview granted to a Colombo based media she has said that she is with the same stance and that she will withdraw her statement and lose her prestige and honour.
I am not interested in the inquiry report. Only the media is interested. I shall welcome any action against me. I shall not fear it. I shall continue saving the people who have placed trust on me.
I was born on the Tamil soil. Had the people of the South lived with us they would have also expressed the same opinion.
I only revealed how the Tamil people lived then and now. We didn’t hear about rapes, child, abuses, drug abuse, murder and Robberies. But, now, we have been pushed into the middle of it. It is not my mistake if my revelation had caused sorrow to some others, she had said.
