We will talk with Maha Sanga regarding reconstruction of Thiruketheswaram Arch, says Jegath
The Leader of the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress, Jegath Sumathypala said that talks will be held with the Maha Sanga (Buddhist hierarchy ) regarding the reconstruction of demolished Thiruketheeswaram Arch.
He said so after participating in the International Conference aimed at creating Hindu – Buddhist unity and answering media questions.
Elaborating further he said that the president and the Prime Minister are working at making the country prosperous, by creating Buddhist – Hindu unity in the post war period.
Narrow factions of Hindu and Buddhist act as racists and religion fanatics.
We are not aware of all the details of the breaking up of the Arch. After we get all the details talks will be held with Maha Sangha, as an expression of Hindu- Buddhist Unity he said, he said.
