Without the support of the minorities a president could not be elected , says Riashad Badi-ud-deen in Mannar

This election should be one which will make the majority Chauvinists that a President could not be made without the support of the minority communities, said Minister Riashad Badi-ud-deen in Mannar yesterday.

He said so while addressing an election meeting held in Mannar in support of Sajith Premadasa.

People who broke up our places of worship in the past, those who grabbed our rights, those who devastated our business centres and those who made us to lose our peace  had rallied behind Rajapakses. The minority leaders have joined hands to blast off the dreams of these Chauvinists.

Don’t forget that by voting to Sajith the future of our areas will be brightened, he said.
