A poster with LTTE leader Velupillai Prabaharan’s photograph and other symbols of Tamil Eelam was found to be pasted in front of the Anchaneyar Temple, in Maruthanarmadam, a few days ago.
Following this, Chunnakam Police undertook inquiries to find as to who pasted the poster. The CCTV Cameras fixed to the shops near the Anchaneyar Temple, have revealed that a woman had pasted the poster. With the help of the cameras the woman was identified by the police.
Inquiries the police have led them to a woman who came from Germany as the person who had pasted the poster and subsequently she was picked up from a lodge, on Monday night.
This woman who was arrested on suspicion of pasting posters with the photograph of LTTE Leader Velupillai Prabaharan, near the temple at Maruthanarmadam in Jaffna has been taken over by the TID, it is reported. This was confirmed by Jaffna District Senior Police Superintendent, Stanislaus who has said that, the arrested woman has been handed over to the TID for further inquiries.
