Action to provide a building for Chinese company in Jaffna: TNA MP Sritharan in Parliament
Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Parliamentarian Sivagnanam Sritharan has said that steps were being taken to provide a building for a Chinese company in Jaffna. Delft island is one of the closest points to India from northern Sri Lanka.
Sritharan has also said that 40 acres of land each will be given to two individuals in Delft Island and handed over to a Chinese company.
Addressing Parliament yesterday, he said efforts were being made to hand over the old District Secretariat building in Jaffna to a Chinese company.
Meanwhile, Sritharan said that the Pakistani ambassador who had recently visited Jaffna had stayed in Mandaithivu Island and visited the nearest areas, which had raised suspicions.
