British Tamils observe Black July
Tamils in the UK marked the 35th anniversary of “black July” violations on 23 June 2018 outside No 10 Downing street.
More than hundred of Tamils and human rights activists gathered in central London to commemorate the bloody massacre of July 1983 against Tamils in Sri Lanka. People including women and children stand together and holding placards, read “Justice for genocide”, “Tamils want action, not words”, “Why are we not heard”.
Activists interacted with passerbys and handing out leaflets about the Black July and Violations against Tamils in Sri Lanka. Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) AND Tamil’s coordinating committee (TCC- UK) called for the event.
