132 acre land in Kepapulavu to be released, says the District Secretary, Mulaitheevu Rupawathy Ketheeswaran
The District Secretary, Mulaitheevu, Rupawathy Ketheeswaran has announced that that the Army had informed that, as a solution to the struggle of the Kepapulavu people 132 acre of their lands will be released on 28.12.2017.
The people of Kepapulavu are engaged in a struggle from last February ,demanding that the 482 acre belonging to 138 families be released. Yesterday was the 289th day of the struggle.
In this context the people had requested that their tribulations be considered and to release their lands.
As an answer to their request, the army had infored me that they will release 132 acre of the people on 28th December, said the District Secretary, Rupawathy Ketheeswaran.
