144 Million to be allocated to Ananthy Sasitharan ??

The Leader of the House C.V.K.Sivagnam suggested yesterday that the 144 Million which was acquired from the Governor’s funds be allocated to Ananthy Sasitharan.

A review of the activities of the NPC for last 45 months was held at the NPC sitting yesterday. The Leader of the house made this suggestion in this sitting.

Earlier the former Governor had illegally transferred 144 Million from NPC funds to his accounts on the eve of the NPC Election. This money had been claimed and received back by the NPC after the TNA taking over the NPC. This money was left to idle with the NPC funds to date. It has been decided to use this fund for assisting war affected Woman Leadership families, Orphans, and orphaned parents.

Now that Ananthy Sasitharan has taken over as Women’s Affairs Minister, she could undertake these projects, suggested the Leader of the house.
