Round up and search operation yesterday in Jaffna to contain anti social activities

Special round up search operation were undertaken from the early hours of yesterday with a view to controlling the sword slashing  and anti-social activities in Jaffna, centering on Arasady area.

This search operation was undertaken as per directives made by the Defence Secretary to the Northern Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police.

Police, STF and Army personnel were massed and the search conducted, including some houses.
