More than 24,893 UXOs recovered in Mulaitheevu, Kilinochcii during the last 4 years, says SHARP Organization

24,893 dangerous UXOs have been removed from 1,530,965 square meters area in  Ampakamam and Thachchadampn areas of Mulaitheevu District and Mauhamalai and Elepahant Pass areas in Kilinochchi District during the last 4 years.

The SHARP Organization, engaged in Humanitarian de mining project in the North had said as above in its media release.

The Operational Manager of the SHARP Organization, Retd. Capt. Prabath Narampana said that his organization engaged in Humanitarian de mining project in the North of Sri Lanka with the assistance of grants from the Japanese Government has recovered 24,893 dangerous UXOs in Ampakamam and Thachchadampan in the DS Division of Odduchuddan area of the Mulaitheevu District and Muhamalai and Elephant Pass areas in Pachchilaipalli DS Division of the Kilinochchi District

It is notable that this Organization is continuing to engage in Humanitarian Demining on an accelerated pace in the Elephant pass area.
