32,000 unemployed in Jaffna District, we need new Industrial Estates, rebukes,District Secretary

32,000 boys and girls are without employment in Jaffna District. Several factories had been damaged by the war. Finding Employment opportunities is a big problem. New Industrial Estates should be established to solve this, the  District Secretary, Jaffna, N.Vethanayagan said yesterday.

He was delivering his chief Guest address, in the inauguration ceremony of the District Centre for Public employment Services, under the Department of Human power Employment of the Jaffna District Secretariat.

“This District Centre for Public employment Services, under the Department of Human power Employment of the Jaffna District Secretariat is being opened with various physical resources. Opportunity had been made available to us to extend our services through Divisional areas, through this Centre.

Further we should renovate damaged factories and establish new Industrial estates. Through thid only our youths could get employment opportunities. 32,000 boys and girls had registered themselves for employment. This number had been revealed from the data collected through Divisional Secretariat.”, he said.
