33rd Convocation of University of Jaffna. 1,706 receive their degrees: 31 Engineers pass out for the first time
The 2nd part of the 33rd Convocation of the University of Jaffna was held yesterday at the Kailasapathy Hall of the University of Jaffna. The Convocations which was held in 7 sessions were presided by Chancellor of the University Prof. S. Pathmanathan, 1,706 persons were awarded their degrees.
1223 Internal Graduates in Arts, Medicine,Science, Engineering and Post Graduate studies, 43 Diploma recipients, were awarded their degrees. The Degrees of 440 External Graduates of the Open and distant Education Centres of the university of Jaffna were confirmed. No of graduates awarded their degrees in each category are as follows:
