40th Anniversary of Vaddukkoddai Resolution held at Valakkamparai
The historically famous ‘Vaddukkoddai Resolution’ was passed by the first National Conference of the TULF 40 years ago.
This important event was remembered yesterday at the same spot near the Valakkamparai Temple.
Tamil Alliance was renamed Tamil United Liberation Front and its National Conference was held on 14th and 15th May 1976, at the Pannakam Meikandan Maha Vidyalayam.
The Vaddukkoddai Resolution saying that a Separate State is the only solution to the Tamil people was adopted in this Conference. The TULF which contested the following parliament Elections swept the board winning unprecedented number of seats.
This historical event was remembered yesterday on the same stage where the Resolution was declared.
NPC Members M.K.Sivajilingam and Mrs. Ananthy Sasitharan took part in this event with several others.
