432 acre lands under the Army control to be released within 1 month: Sampanthan
The Leader of the opposition and the Leader of the TNA who made a visit to the Kepapulavu struggle arena promised to the people strugglers that 423 acre of their lands will be released within one month.
The TNA Leader who participated in the Muliwikkal Commemoration visited the Kepapulavu people on their 81st day of struggle demanding the release of their lands.
He further said that he had met the Commanding Officer of the Kepapulavu Camp and 243 acre in a position to be released immediately, they are assuring that they will release 189 acre within one month and a further 111 acre could be released if 100 million is given to them. They said that they will need 6 months to release this 111 acre and that he will talk to the State leader and release this money soon.
Another part is the 70 acre near Nanthikadal which consists of their camps and buildings. They have no idea of releasing them. They say that they will need 5 million , if to release that 70 acre.
Discussions will be held with the president and the Army Commander and better solutions will be found, he said.
