4th of the Mulliwaikkal commemoration flames lighted at the ‘ Kumudini Massacre’ victims’ memorial
On the 4th day of the Mulliwaikkal commemoration week, the sacrificial flames were lighted at the memorial for the Kumuthini Victims.
Innocent Tamil people were attacked after every attack of the Liberation Tigers on the Army. The revenging attacks varied in severity of the losses to the army.
The Kumuthiny massacre was perpetrated in revenge, for an attack made by the liberation Tigers, at Anuradhapura. 36 innocent people including a 7 months old baby and a 74 years aged man were mercilessly murdered at mid Sea by Sri Lanka navy men.
The event of lighting the commemoration lamps was presided by M.K.Sivajilingam.
