Northern Cabinet to change soon: CM vigorously in consultation
In a context where more members calling for the removal of the Northern Ministers, the CM is in urgent consultation regarding the change and gearing up to take serious action.
In 2016, a group of members of NPC led by former member Late Antony Jeganathan requested the removal all 4 Ministers, but the CM did not take any action. After the report on Ministers were received he had phoned those members to find out whether they in their old stance and they had replied in the affirmative.
The CM had consulted the leadership of TNA and they are in favour of the total change.
All the possibilities are there that the CM will take action according to majority wish. Meanwhile the debate on the report will be held in a special sitting on 14th.
The civil society had pointed out that removing all four ministers will put the reliability of the report of the committee to question.
