Massive Demonstration in Mannar : Where are our Relatives

A massive Rally was held yesterday with the International Day of the missing persons in view. This protest demonstration was held in Mannar under the aegis of the Organization of families searching for their Missing Relatives. The Rally started from Public grounds at around 10.30 a.m.

Thousands of people including, Representatives of the Organizations of families searching for their relatives from Jaffna, Mannar,Vavuniya Kilinochchi and Mulaitheevu districts, HR activists, representatives of public organizations,The Vicar General of Mannar Diocese, Rev. Fr. Victor Sosai, Rev. Fathers,Chairman, Mannar TC, G.Antony Davidson participated in this Rally. The Rally started from the public grounds proceeded through Mani Road and reached Mannar Bazzar.

The people who participated in this Rally raised their voices and called for International Investigation on the Missing persons. A memorandum was handed over to the Mannar GA, S.A.Mohanraj, who promised that he take action to send the memorandum to the President for obtaining his answers to the protesters.
