British Representatives meet Resettle people in Valikamam North
Representatives of British High Commission met yesterday the resettled people in the village Vali North and inquired about their problems.
A team of these representatives including Chief Secretary of the British High Commission and the Advisor for peace and Reconciliation, Amy O’Brien met yesterday the resettled people in the village Vali North.
In this meeting that occurred in the village of Thaiyiddy, several matters including land release, impacts of the war, problems encountered during the displacements and the problems faced now, were discussed it is reported.
It is also notable that in a meeting held between the Tamils Heritage Council and Sidonia Gabriel, the new in charge for the political Affairs of Switzerland.
Matters including Sinhala Colonization in North and East, Buddhistisation of North and East, people made to disappear, Political Prisoners and incidents occurring even after 10 years were discussed in this meeting.
