Water levels in Kilinochchi Tanks increased- People warned to be vigilant

The water levels in the Tanks of Kilinochchi are on the increase. On the basis of the level reading at 10.00 p.m. yesterday it is expected that some of them will start spilling today.

As per the 10.00 p.m., the water levels in the tanks are as follows:

Akkarayan- 11’ 04” = FSL 25’

Nagapaduwan 2’ 0-3” – FSL 10’

Puthumurippu 11’07” – FSL 19’

Kudamuruddy 05’ 04” FSL 8’

Vanneri  07’4” – FSL 9’ 06”

Meanwhile the water level in the Iranaimadu Tank has reached 19’, Kanakampikai  risen to 8’ and Periyakulam had started spilling at 4’.

Kanagampikaikulam  is expected to start spilling today.
