Jaffna incident; 33 suspects released on bail

Jaffna Court today released 33 suspects on bail in the case of alleged demonstration causing damages to public property during the demo against the murder of Vidya in Jaffna.

They were released on a personal cash bond of Rs two hundred thousand each. They were also ordered to report to Jaffna police station between 9 am and 12 pm on the last Sunday of every month.

Court also warned that in the event they are found to be involved in any illegal activity the bail will be cancelled.

The case was put off for July 21.
