Women electrocuted by electric fence – People demanding removal of STF Camp

A house wife , Kandasamy Rajeswary(55), who went get some khomba leaves for medicine was electrocuted last week, by electric leakage on the fence of the STF camp at Adappankulam, Cheddikulam.

The relatives and area people took up a protest campaign demanding the removal of this camp which is situated in an area where are lot of people are residing now. Further they said that this land was ear marked for the Public hall and the MPCS, Venkalachedikulam also was located in this area and the STF is forcibly occupying this land. Vanni MPs, Charles Nirmalanathan and Sivasakthy Ananthan and NPC Health Minister, P.Sathiyalingam and NPC member Indrarajah Nadraj who attended the funeral of the woman were informed of theses particulars.
