Hoist black flags: Shivajilingam

Northern Provincial Councillor M.K.Shivajilingam has requested the people in the Jaffna peninsula to hoist black flags to protest against visits by President Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.

 The President and the Prime Minister are scheduled to take part in the National Thai Pongal celebrations in Jaffna next week.

Sivajilingham said that the black flag protest will be staged to show opposition to the failure by the Government to address several issues related to the Tamils in the North.
